What is stored in your browser

We set no cookies of our own. The measurement tags described below set theirs when the page opens, unless you have turned them off.

Your choice about analytics is kept in local storage under the key rf-consent. Local storage is not a cookie. It stays in your browser, it is never attached to a request, and we never see it. It exists so the site remembers that you turned measurement off, or that you closed the notice.

Unless you turn measurement off, one more thing is stored in local storage: the campaign parameters of the ad that brought you here (the utm_ tags and the click identifier of the ad network), under the key rf-utm, for 30 days. They are passed on when you open the Rankforge platform, so the sign-up is counted against the right ad. Turning measurement off deletes them.

Signing in to the platform is different: an account needs a session, and the platform sets what it needs to keep you signed in. That is a separate service on its own address, with its own policy.

What loads when you open the site

The site loads Google Tag Manager, container GTM-WVGRHG6W, from googletagmanager.com. The container itself sets no cookies. It loads three measurement tags, and those set cookies in your browser. The same container runs on our case-study host, and the lifetimes below were read from a live page there. They are what the vendors set today.

Google Analytics 4. Counts visits and the pages you open. _ga and _ga_<property id> hold a randomly generated identifier for your browser and the state of your visit. Both live 400 days.

Yandex Metrica. Counts visits and records the session for replay, which means your clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement on the page are captured. _ym_uid and _ym_d identify your browser and live a year; _ym_isad and _ym_visorc hold short-lived state and expire within a day.

Meta Pixel. Reports your visit to Meta so that we can measure and target advertising. _fbp identifies your browser and lives 90 days.

These vendors process the data as our processors, and they run outside your country. What we do with the result is count visits and see which pages people open and which campaigns bring them.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to turn measurement off, and none of these tags load.

Turning measurement off

The switch below turns off the analytics and advertising tags for this browser. For visitors in the United States it is also the request not to sell or share your personal information. The page reloads without them, and they do not load again unless you turn them back on. The whole site keeps working either way.

Cookies the tags already set before you turned them off stay in your browser until they expire or you clear site data for this site. Clearing site data also removes your choice, and the tags load again on your next visit. Your browser can also block cookies and storage outright, and the site keeps working if you do.

Booking a demo

If you send the demo form, a scheduling window from Calendly opens over the page. Calendly is not loaded before that: until you send the form, none of its code is on the page. Once the window opens, Calendly sets its own cookies and runs its own measurement inside it. What it collects and why is described in the Calendly Privacy Notice. Close the window without booking and nothing you typed reaches us.
